The Jefferson pendant lamp by Luca Nicetto, presented at the Euroluce 2019 exhibition, is made of valuable Bohemian crystal, and when creating it, the author was inspired by the visual psychedelic art of the sixties. The vortex motif characteristic of the diffuser surface recalls the artistic trend of the counterculture of the late sixties and its kaleidoscopic and dizzying chromatic fantasies, which Jefferson elegantly plays out in a subtle game of light influences.
Jefferson embodies a geometric pattern on Bohemian crystal using a special pressing technique, thanks to which the smallest details are preserved on a transparent surface. The Jefferson mini version consists of two elliptical crystal diffusers, which are combined on a black chrome base: it seems. that it makes the crystal spin like a spinning top.
The Jefferson model is suspended on a thin but extremely durable cable due to internal Kevlar reinforcement. The lamp provides warm and elegant lighting. The PCB, developed in Studio Italia Design, uses a 3 W LED with a color rendering coefficient (CRI) of 90, which ensures reliable reproduction of colors. The light coming from the LED source is enhanced by the continuous play of shades of decorative motifs on the surface of the crystal and chrome-plated components of the base. The different sizes of the Jefferson model and the possibility of cluster compositions multiply the light dynamics and bring individuality to various environments. The Jefferson model embodies a spectacular combination of form and symbol, classics and innovations — an elegant solution for transforming any space into a warm living environment.
