Designed between 1995 and 1996, the Maui chair was the goal of design research in the nineties and the first of a new generation of monocoque chairs made of a material without any finishes, metal supports or any frame reinforcement to support the backrest. In 2012 Kartell gave it a new life in style and affordability, offered fabric (Kvadrat or Trevira) – with and without castor, thus expanding the color palette and functional variations capable of meeting the specific needs of both the contract and home sector. Elegant lines and practicality make Maui lead an extremely versatile design, as relevant today as it was yesterday.
